If your debit card, ATM card, credit card or checks are ever lost or stolen, immediately call the appropriate numbers below to report the loss and then call Valley Savings Bank at 330-923-0454 to speak with a representative during business hours.

Guard against debit and credit card fraud.

For most individuals, using a debit and/or credit card is an everyday event. There are, however, precautions you should take when using your cards to avoid fraud.

Keep your cards in a safe place or with you at all times to guard against theft or loss.
Do not loan your cards to anyone.
Be vigilant about odd or unfamiliar devices on an ATM, a gas pump or any other place you may swipe your cards. Devices – called skimmers – are placed by fraudulent individuals and are designed to capture your account information.
When purchasing online or by phone, you should consider using your credit card rather than a debit card. In the case of a fraudulent event, lost funds can be easier to recover from a credit card company. If you choose to use your debit card for online or phone purchases it is your responsibility to ensure the legitimacy of the seller.
Try to avoid giving your debit or credit card to restaurant servers or others who will be taking the card out of your sight to process a transaction.
Sign-up for online banking to keep a close eye on your account balances for any fraudulent activity – check accounts at least once a week or more frequently if you prefer.
Avoid using computers you do not have full control over for online banking and do not access your financial accounts using public WiFi.
If you do not bank online, carefully inspect your account statement when it arrives in the mail, report any unauthorized activity to Valley Savings Bank immediately by calling 330-923-0454.
